NEWS NOW: Denver Broncos make substantial ownership structure adjustments…

The Denver Broncos are making big personnel changes after a 1-5 start. Denver has made a significant choice regarding their ownership structure in addition to shipping off players, even though it probably has nothing to do with how the team is doing on the field.

Rob Walton, an heir to the Walmart fortune, was the controlling owner of the Broncos when they were bought for a then-record price of $4.65 billion. That’s not the situation anymore.

Greg Penner, Walton’s son-in-law, is now the controlling owner of the Denver Broncos.

However, Penner has been performing roughly the same duties since the Broncos were acquired 14 months ago, making this modification commonplace. However, Penner now holds the official position of being the man in command, replacing Walton. It’s a move with interesting timing given how awkwardly the team has started.

In addition to changing the name, Walton has also given Penner and his wife’s four children a share in his ownership.

Even while the new name is significant, the Broncos’ day-to-day operations won’t alter. Instead, it’s a component of a larger scheme to increase long-term stability at the top for the Broncos.
