SO SAD: A hero has suffered a new injury setback…..

Dele Alli acknowledged a setback in his knee recovery but promised to ‘come back stronger’ in a social media message.

Alli spent the most of the previous campaign on loan at Besiktas of the Turkish Super Lig after joining Everton in January of last year.

Although the 27-year-old returned to his parent club this summer, his time with the Istanbul club was cut short by injury, delaying his return to play.

Alli posted numerous images of himself working out in the gym along with a statement saying there has been a “setback with the injury” but that he is “making sure I come stronger than ever.”

Alli confessed earlier this year that he became addicted to sleeping drugs this summer and had to spend time in a rehab center in the United States.

“When I returned from Turkey, I discovered that I needed an operation.” The Overlap heard from Alli.

“I was in a poor mental state.” I made the decision to check into a cutting-edge recovery center that addresses addiction, mental health issues, and trauma. I sensed that now was my moment.

You must make the decision for yourself; you cannot be told to go there.

“I was stuck in a bad cycle.” I was putting my trust in things that were hurting me. Every day I was winning the fight and going into training with a smile on my face, ready to display my happiness.

‘Inside It was time to make a change since I was losing the battle. I was able to feel the emotions I had at the start of the cycle when I was told I required surgery.

So I spent six weeks there. Everton was outstanding and helped me tremendously; I will always be grateful. When I was facing the biggest decision of my life, I couldn’t have asked for anything more from them than to be so honest and understanding.

The former England international revealed horrific aspects of his tragic upbringing, including the fact that his mother’s acquaintance assaulted him when he was a toddler.

A flood of support from the sporting community, including players like Harry Kane, James Maddison, and Eric Dier, followed the interview.

Since Sean Dyche took over the club in January, injuries have prevented the former Tottenham star from playing for the Toffees, but Alli stated this summer that the manager has been “supportive.”

Me and (Dyche) have had some excellent chats, Alli added, “about where I’m at, not so much about football at this point because obviously I’m still injured.”

I believe for someone who didn’t really know me, for this to be forced on him, and to be so understanding and not even just understanding, we had a wonderful chat and, like I said, he was supportive. And I’d like to say a big thanks to him as well.
