Due to this, Salah has occasionally been placed in risky situations, as the person in charge of ensuring his safety has disclosed. In fact, Karim Abdou stated on the 5ASide Podcast: “He is a ghost. He is invisible.
He once visited a mosque to worship. He was being followed, and nobody knew where he resided. In a WhatsApp group, he (the person following) posted: “Mo Salah lives in that address.” After five minutes, 20,000 people arrived at his house as I followed him. These 20,000 individuals were merely residents of the area. When the others heard, they began to drive [there].
“The craziest time was when he won the Champions League. I was meant to stay with him, but he extended his vacation time and returned to his base of operations. Thousands of people lined the streets to pray during Eid [al-Fitr], which is celebrated here like Christmas.
Everyone wants to take selfies with him because he just won the Champions League, but when he first arrived, he was meant to go and pray in the street with everyone. It resembled the World Cup final in every aspect of Egyptian media, including television and newspapers. They had formed a line in front of his home.
I was staying at a hotel with the Egyptian national team at the same time. Salah was expected to arrive after taking the next two days off. He couldn’t even open the door when he suddenly found himself inside the house. They attempted to flee from him through the back door but were unsuccessful.
Abdou continued, “All gifts have to be scanned. This is how worried I am about Salah’s safety at all times. We don’t accept gifts, but occasionally I have to scan them if I take them from individuals. You never know what the present will contain. You can’t know if it will kill him or make him sick.
I’ll tell you one secret, he continued. Salah gave back to the community and spent millions
