Only a few weeks into his rookie NFL season, Anthony Richardson, the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, has already experienced another injury setback.

Richardson impressed with a contemporary athletic game that seemed to be made for the NFL after being selected with the fourth overall choice in the April NFL Draft.

The quarterback, however, has previously required medical evaluation on a number of occasions.

Richardson had to leave the field with 4:39 left in the second quarter of the Colts’ 23-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The 21-year-old was thought to have suffered a shoulder injury at the time.

At Lucas Oil Stadium, Richardson was taken off the field and examined by the Colts medical staff. The backup quarterback Gardner Minshew took over to finish the game in place of the young quarterback, who did not come back into it.

It was eventually revealed that Richardson had first been diagnosed with a Grade 3 injury to his right shoulder’s AC joint. Richardson and the Colts are still gathering information on the ailment, according to a recent ESPN article.
