JUST IN: If the 777 takeover is allowed, Everton will decide whether or not to transfer Youssef Chermiti…

According to journalist Mark Douglas, if the proposed buyout from 777 Partners is approved, Everton might permit Youssef Chermiti to leave on a loan.

Douglas claimed Chermiti, who joined the Toffees from Sporting Lisbon in an alleged £15 million move in August (BBC Sport), is a player they see as a long-term investment in a piece of writing for i news on Monday (16 October).

He has only played 26 minutes in the Premier League, coming off the bench three times, and has yet to make a start in the top division.
According to Douglas, if conditions change after a takeover, a decision might be made to let Chermiti play regular football somewhere so that he can continue to develop.

“It’s uncertain whether that indicates that he is prepared for the physicality of professional football, but in his own country, they are confident in his potential. Everton’s forethought is respected, despite the fact that his move might be a slow burner, Douglas noted.

“I am aware that Chermiti might be permitted to leave on loan in order to accrue first-team playing time if the 777 Partners takeover proceeds, theoretically freeing up finances for squad building. Yet he continues.

Fair enough

Everton had a challenging summer transfer window because their well-known financial problems off the field made it tough for them to add players.

Arnaut Danjuma, Jack Harrison, and Beto finally joined the Toffees on full deals from Udinese, strengthening an attacking line that desperately needed reinforcement.

Chermiti has been utilized quite infrequently thus far since Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who had long-standing injury difficulties, is also beginning to play more fluidly.

This is not to imply that he won’t succeed at Everton; in fact, it’s encouraging to see the Toffees using some discernment in the transfer market and looking ahead rather than wasting money on pricey duds.

An interim move away from Goodison Park might turn out to be advantageous for all sides, but manager Sean Dyche will want to make sure he is well protected before approving such a transaction given the squad’s current state.

Alan Myers has released a revised timetable for the envisioned 777 acquisition in other Everton news.
