DELL IN CONCUSSION PROTOCOL FOR OCT. 11 This Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, one of the Houston Texans’ most potent weapons could be out.
Tank Dell, a rookie wide receiver, has reportedly entered the concussion protocol, per head coach DeMeco Ryans, after being compelled to leave Sunday’s loss against the Falcons.
Ryans told reporters on Monday, “Tank is in the protocol, and we’ll see how he progresses throughout the week.” “I hope he feels better soon. It certainly aches not having him around.
This season, Dell has been one of the Texans offense’s most explosive players, and the rookie quarterback and fellow rookie C.J. Stroud have developed a strong bond.
Dell has 19 catches for 324 yards and two scores in five games for Houston, averaging 17.1 yards per catch.
“Tank is an explosive playmaker for us, but our thoughts [are] with Tank to make sure he gets back healthy as soon as possible,” said Ryans.
GREEN OUT ON OCT. 3 Already this season, the offensive line of the Houston Texans has suffered significant casualties.
And on Tuesday, things apparently got even worse as guard Kenrick Green reportedly suffered a ruptured meniscus and was said to be sidelined indefinitely.
Green was first signed by the Texans to replace second-year guard Kenyon Green, who was sidelined for the season before the season even started due to a shoulder injury.
Green played 208 plays in Houston’s final three games, all of which he started.
PICKETT HURT ON OCT. Looking for their second straight victory, the Houston Texans took the field against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
The Steelers also experienced a significant setback when starting quarterback Kenny Pickett was forced to leave the game due to a lower-body injury, with the Texans already leading 16-6.
