SHOCKING NEWS: Coventry City key player suffer heart injury…..

Ahead of Saturday’s trip to Ashton Gate, we examine the opposition’s injury report using CoventryLive’s coverage of Coventry City.
The news that legendary striker Nahki Wells will miss the next several weeks due to an ankle injury sustained in the 2-1 loss against Leeds United prior to the international break has dealt a blow to Bristol City, Coventry City’s next opponents.

When Wells exited the field in the thirty-first minute following a challenge by Leeds captain Pascal Struijk, there was cause for concern as the defender unintentionally stumbled over the veteran forward’s ankle. The Bermudian required help from a physiotherapist to get off the field and go around Elland Road before heading back to the locker room.

Nigel Pearson, the manager of Bristol, said during the match that Wells’s need to be taken off was concerning due to his durability and habit of playing through pain. Wells is 33 years old. Additionally, Wells had a scan last week, and as a result, he was issued with a protective boot for his rehabilitation.

He will still be evaluated, but it is anticipated that he will only be out for a few weeks at most, depending on how well he reacts to treatment.

It is realistic to predict that he will miss the rest of the month, though, as the Championship returns this weekend with matches against Coventry City, Ipswich Town, and Cardiff City to round up October.
