Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo, who gave an update on his overflowing casualty ward, which currently has 11 players, feels there may be a bright side to the team’s horrific injury problem.
A third of the Bulldogs’ first-grade roster, which includes standout players like Josh Addo-Carr, Luke Thompson, Viliame Kikau, and Jacob Kiraz, is now sidelined.
Jake Averillo, Braidon Burns, Andrew Davey, Fa’amanu Brown, Chris Patolo, Franklin Pele, and Bailey Biondi-Odo join those four in the casualty ward.

Although Ciraldo acknowledged that the Bulldogs are experiencing their worst injury problem to date, he refused to use it as an excuse for his team, which enters Round 8 ranked 15th with three wins and four losses.
Ciraldo stated on NRL 360, “I said it was an injury crisis or agreed that it was, but it is just footy.”
Every club experiences this at some point. We are currently experiencing it.
“However, that presents an opportunity since some guys who will be new will return at the annual celebration.
“It also provides our NSW Cup team members, who are performing exceptionally well, with chances to step up and seize them.”
