A knee injury will keep Wigan Warriors winger Liam Marshall out for nine to twelve months.

Winger Liam Marshall of the Wigan Warriors might miss up to a year due to a knee injury he sustained during their Saturday victory over Castleford.

After being injured during the 30-22 victory, the 24-year-old hobbled off and will now need surgery.

Following Thursday’s unexpected loss to Hull Kingston Rovers, manager Adrian Lam stated, “He needs an operation because he’s ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.”

“He’ll see an expert next week and will be out for between 9-12 months, sadly.”
