Report: “Cash conscious” Everton might find it difficult to turn down a £60 million offer for the 21-year-old….

Jarrad Branthwaite’s future at Everton is uncertain.

Journalist Alan Nixon claims on his Patreon page that “cash conscious” Everton might be unable to turn down a reported “big money” offer of £60 million for Jarrad Branthwaite.

Branthwaite is probably going to attract a lot of transfer interest. This season, the 21-year-old center back has been a revelation for Everton.

While on loan at PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands last season, the young defender made an impression. This season at Goodison Park, Branthwaite swiftly surpassed Michael Keane in the standings, building on that experience. Since then, he hasn’t turned back.

Branthwaite has put on some incredible performances, which has rewarded Sean Dyche for believing in the England under-21 international.

At the Merseyside club, Branthwaite is held in high regard. Those expectations for his future appear to be well-founded thus far.

But if Branthwaite draws enough transfer interest that the Toffees can no longer afford to ignore, the player’s outstanding performances might work against them.

It will be difficult for Everton to hold onto Jarrad Branthwaite.
Considering the club’s unstable financial status, Everton must treat all player acquisition offers with seriousness. Competing teams are likely aware of this and will try to take advantage of it by pursuing a quick signing of the 6’5″ defender.

Dyche is going to be praying that the January transfer window opens with no suitors. Branthwaite has established himself as a crucial member of the team, so it would be disastrous for Everton to lose him in the middle of the current campaign.

In the end, though, the money the former Carlisle United player would fetch might be well spent. This Everton team definitely needs to make some major investments in certain areas. The necessary upgrades could be partially funded by the sale of Branthwaite.
