NEWS NOW: UConn has released the complete 2023-24 men’s basketball schedule…..

The Big East Conference and UConn announced the complete men’s basketball schedule on Friday, including tip-off times, broadcast information, and home court locations for each of the Huskies’ 17 home games.

Nine of those games will be held at Gampel Pavilion, including a Big East/Big 12 showdown with Oklahoma State, while the remaining eight will be held at the XL Center, including a conference showdown with Villanova.

The Huskies will also appear on network television seven times, six times on FOX and once on CBS. This is the most in the conference, with 22 regular-season games involving Big East schools airing on network television. Nineteen of those games will be broadcast on FOX, with the remaining three on CBS.

The season opener will be broadcast on FS1 with full-game coverage on the FOX Sports App. The Huskies will play Stonehill at XL Center at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s first Division I game. Butler, St. John’s, Xavier, and DePaul are among the other schools covered by the whip-around coverage.

The non-conference schedule includes four games at the Gampel Pavilion against Boston University, LIU, Oklahoma State, and UNC Wilmington, while UConn will play Buffalo, Delaware State, and Stonehill at the XL Center. Three of these games (Delaware State, LIU, and Oklahoma State) will be broadcast on FS1, while the Terriers and Seahawks will be broadcast on FS2. The only appearance on CBS Sports Network will be against Buffalo, while the Phil Knight Invitational and the road game against Florida will be on ESPN Networks.

Following finals, the conference schedule will begin with a road game against Butler on December 17, followed by home games against Georgetown and Villanova on December 20 and 28, respectively. The Huskies make their network television debut on New Year’s Eve on the road against Xavier, followed by a quick trip to Providence to face the Friars on January 4, and Creighton in town on January 7 at Gampel Pavilion.

This is part of a longer schedule that includes trips to Marquette (Jan. 11) and Seton Hall (Jan. 18), as well as visits from St. John’s (Jan. 15) and Butler (Jan. 22). A second-straight home game, against Xavier on Jan. 25, breaks the streak before the team concludes January with a trip to DePaul on Jan. 31.

In February, the team travels to Georgetown (February 4), Creighton (February 11), and St. John’s (February 25), with home games against Marquette (February 7), Seton Hall (February 18), and Providence (February 25), the team’s final game at Gampel Pavilion.

The regular season will conclude in March, with a game against DePaul at the XL Center on March 1 before the regular season concludes on the road against Villanova.

The mix of games between the two arenas is the best it has been in recent years, with UConn once again splitting time between the XL Center and Gampel Pavilion. At Storrs, the Huskies will host Georgetown, Creighton, Xavier, Seton Hall, and Providence. Meanwhile, as part of the Big East schedule, Villanova, St. John’s, Butler, Marquette, and DePaul will visit the XL Center.
