Collingwood can confirm a number of re-signings as the 2020 AFL national draft and list finalization draw near.
As the 2020 AFL national draft draws near and the lists are finalized, Collingwood can officially announce a number of resignings.
In addition to Josh Daicos, Mark Keane, and Darcy Moore, who recently resigned, Brody Mihocek, Jordan De Goey, Levi Greenwood, and Anton Tohill have also agreed to new contracts.
Mihocek signed a three-year contract and will continue to be a key member of Collingwood’s attack. De Goey, his goal-kicking offsider, signed a two-year contract, while Greenwood and Tohill, a category B rookie, signed one-year contracts.

Mihocek, a former rookie, has scored 90 goals in 58 games during the previous three seasons. The 27-year-old, who made his debut for Collingwood’s senior team, has only missed one of 59 games in total.
He is somewhat of an accidental AFL hero, an underappreciated VFL defender called up to the AFL midway through his career who, because of circumstances on his team, turned into a fantastic forward.
After playing for Werribee and Port Melbourne in the VFL, he was selected with the 22nd pick in the 2017 rookie draft. Seven national drafts passed him by despite his 2011 under-18 All-Australian honours.
This year, Mihocek finished eighth in the Copeland Trophy count, won the Bob Rose award as Collingwood’s player of the finals, and won the Gordon Coventry award for the second time in a row as the team’s top goal scorer.
“Brody is a very reliable worker and well-liked teammate. Ned Guy, the manager of Collingwood List, said, “He fronts up to every contest, brings his team-mates into the game, has a nose for a goal and is team first.”
“He has brought so much to the team, and everyone at Collingwood has loved what he has accomplished. We’re really happy he will be with us for at least another three seasons.”
A finger injury cut short De Goey’s 2020 campaign, keeping him out of action from rounds 8 to 16. But he was a game-winner just before and after this forced break, scoring five goals against Geelong and four against Gold Coast.
In 2021, the 24-year-old is set to play in his 100th match as he begins his seventh season.
Next year, Greenwood will be participating in his 14th season, having recovered well from a knee reconstruction late in the 2020 season.
His dominant midfield position in the elimination final at Optus Stadium against West Coast contributed to a historic victory, and his adaptability and competitiveness are still greatly appreciated.
The 20-year-old Irishman from County Derry, Tohill, has committed to playing for the Black and White for a third season. He has continued to grow as a forward/ruck.
