Mosese Suli, who was traded by the Wests Tigers to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, has officially signed a three-year contract.
After healing from ankle surgery, the 19-year-old, who has played in 16 first-grade games, will start training at his new club right away.
Playing at center or wing, Suli, a graduate of Westfield Sports High School and Fairfield United Juniors, made his debut for Tonga on the international scene in May.
“I knew it was the right decision for the club and for me, but it was a big call for me. I guess it’s best for my footy career, but it was really tough for me and I didn’t think it would come to this,” he said to NRL.com on Wednesday.
“The ankle is healing up quite nicely. I underwent surgery, but I’m doing great. I’m cleared to return to the field and am eager to do so.”
