2 Raiders Who Play Well Against the Giants

The Las Vegas Raiders’ 26-14 setback to the Detroit Lions in Week 8 is now behind them as they prepare to face the New York Giants in Allegiant Stadium this Sunday. On offense, there are two Raiders who have a history of putting up big numbers versus the Giants. Running back Josh Jacobs and wide receiver Davante Adams are the two offensive players.

Jacobs will face the Giants for the second time in his career on Sunday. The last time Jacobs and the Raiders met was in the 2021 NFL regular season. Jacobs ended the game with 76 yards on 13 runs and an average of 5.8 yards per carry. Despite the loss to the Lions on Monday night, Jacobs had a notable showing. He finished the game as the Raiders’ only touchdown scorer, rushing for 61 yards on 15 tries and averaging 5.8 yards per run.’

On the other side, the Raiders’ offense continued to be devoid of wide receiver Davante Adams on Monday night. Adams just had one reception for 11 yards against the Lions. Adams had the opportunity to express his displeasure to the media following Monday night’s loss to the Lions. “It’s not hard to maintain the confidence in our offense, it’s hard to curb your frustration when you can’t put it together when you know you should.”

Adams is well-known for his career numbers against the Giants. In only two career games versus the Giants, he has 11 catches for 149 yards and three touchdowns. His best performance against the Giants came during the Green Bay Packers’ regular season in 2019. Adams finished with six receptions for 64 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
