INJURY UPDATE: Will he play again?

Chris Olave injury status: The Saints’ rookie wide out is questionable for Sunday after suffering a concussion against the Seahawks.
Saints rookie Chris Olave entered Week 5 as a contender for Rookie of the Year (+450, according to Vegas Insider), and he has been a bright spot for a 1-3 Saints squad.

On Sunday, Olave was having another good day against the Seahawks, but he departed the game following a touchdown reception that saw him spin to the ground and his head smack into the turf.

Although the play was first declared incomplete, Saints coach Dennis Allen appealed the ruling, and it was discovered that the ball had split after Olave made a football move.

He was brought to the medical tent immediately following the fall.

Olave was called out of the game shortly after being taken off the field due to the new concussion protocols.

The NFL and NFLPA agreed on amended protocols this week, which were adopted for Week 5. With similar symptoms, Teddy Bridgewater was ruled out of the Dolphins-Jets game.

Olave is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bengals, according to Nick Underhill, after being restricted in practice Friday.
