Devastated injury for Commanders: Two players ruled out

Two Washington Commanders players have been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. Both players were injured in the Eagles’ loss last week and were unable to practice this week. Last week, Curtis Samuel had a foot injury, but he left the game with a toe injury. Ricky Stromberg, a rookie offensive lineman, was seen on crutches after practice yesterday. He is expected to be placed on injured reserve, effectively ending his season.

Only one player was listed as questionable by Washington. Safety Percy Butler has been limited this week due to a calf injury, but he practiced fully today. On Sunday, he should be ready to go. Logan Thomas, a tight end, was limited on Wednesday due to a heel injury but played the rest of the week.

The Washington Commanders completed their final full practice before facing the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Washington has several players who are injured, but only one has been ruled out. Logan Thomas suffered a concussion last week after scoring the game-winning touchdown against the Broncos. Thomas will miss his first game of the season, but he could return next week against the Eagles in Philadelphia.

This week was Daron Payne’s first full practice. He has no injury designation and will play on Sunday. Payne left the Broncos game with an ankle injury, but he was able to return and play the rest of the game.

Rookie defensive back Since Week 1, Quan Martin has been in the concussion protocol. He has been fully practicing for the past two days and will play in his second NFL game on Sunday. The remaining players on this week’s injury report are all expected to play and have no injury designations.
