His heartbroken parents Naomi and Scott have remembered him as “our first little love.”

“I still haven’t been able to put together the words that I want to of our incredible amazing boy Henry but in time I will,” reads the family’s dedicated Instagram account.

“Right now it just doesn’t seem real that he has been taken from us so suddenly.

“I am absolutely beyond heartbroken and so incredibly sad, frustrated and angry for how it happened. It wasn’t the cancer, it was the treatment. Something we questioned all the time. The chemo toxicity that riddled his poor little body with blood clots.

“I miss him so much already and struggle to think how life moving forward will be without him.

“Our first born, our first little love, our only boy and the big brother to his three little sisters.”

The Cats paid tribute to the young fan on their Instagram page, remembering Henry’s attendance at their team photo day just 10 weeks ago.

“Fly high Henry. Earlier this year we had the pleasure of hosting Henry at our team photo day where he inspired us all with his strength and positivity,” the club wrote.

“We are deeply saddened to hear of his passing and send our thoughts to his family, friends and everyone else who had the opportunity to meet him.”

Former Geelong skipper Joel Selwood, who has recently become a father for the first time, commented a series of love hearts on the tribute, while hundreds of fans and friends sent their condolences.

Current captain Patrick Dangerfield also paid tribute with a post of Jeremy Cameron celebrating a goal and gesturing for Team Henry.
