SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A game has been called and ended early due to an injured player for the second time in the 2023 NFL preseason.
Another NFL preseason game has been canceled due to an injured player.
The Week 3 game between the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars was called off in the fourth quarter.
On Saturday, August 26, the Jaguars hosted the Dolphins at EverBank Stadium in Miami, Florida.

It was the second preseason game to be called off before the full 60-minute mark.
Dolphins rookie Daewood Davis was injured on a 3rd and 3 play at the Miami 41-yard line with 8:35 left in the fourth quarter.
“Tonight’s preseason game between the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars has been suspended by mutual agreement of the teams,” the Dolphins announced on social media.
“Dolphins wide receiver Daewood Davis was injured in tonight’s game and was taken to Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville for further evaluation.” “He is conscious and moves all of his limbs,” the Dolphins added.
The Patriots-Packers game has been canceled due to Bolden’s injury.
A week earlier, the Week 2 preseason game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers was called off due to an injury in the second half.
New England’s Isaiah Bolden was injured on a 3rd and 7 play from the Patriots’ 25-yard line with 10:38 left in the fourth quarter.
Bolden, a Jackson State freshman, was attended to by medical personnel before being strapped to a backboard and carted off the field.
Both Bill Belichick, head coach of the Patriots, and Matt LaFleur, head coach of the Packers, agreed to end the game at 10:38. The game was called after the coaches agreed.
Soon after the game, the Patriots provided an update on Bolden.
“Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden sustained an injury during the fourth quarter of tonight’s game,” the Patriots said on Twitter. “He had feeling in all his extremities, but has been taken to a local hospital for further tests and observation.”
By a score of 21-17, the Patriots were declared the winners.
Bolden had three total tackles and two solo tackles prior to his injury.

Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills went into cardiac arrest during a regular-season game last season. The competition was called off for the evening and was not rescheduled for a later date.
