The Minnesota Vikings entered confidently into their Monday Night Football matchup with the Chicago Bears.
They had won two of their last three games, feeling that Josh Dobbs would continue to lead them on a successful path.
However, this game didn’t exactly turn out how the Vikings, or their fans, thought it would.
They ended up losing this game, and Dobbs’ performance seemed to be a big reason why.
He threw four interceptions, a metric that even the best quarterbacks struggle to come back from.
There might have been optimism surrounding Dobbs coming into this game, but after seeing this performance, the tides could be changing.
According to Vikings reporter Kevin Seifert, Kevin O’Connell was non-committal about the Vikings’ quarterback after they come back from the bye.
O’Connell and his staff will have an extra week to talk things over, hoping to find the best solution at the quarterback position.
To this point, Dobbs has presented as their most ideal option, given his abilities on the ground and through the air.
After a four-interception game, anything is on the table.
The Vikings might consider starting Nick Mullens in Week 14 if they are having additional doubts about Dobbs.
Regardless of their quarterback decision, the Vikings find themselves in a compromised position.
They seemed to be making a run for a playoff spot in the NFC after an impressive string of wins.
Now that they have lost back-to-back games, however, they are on thin ice.
Can this team figure out their quarterback, who can hopefully play well enough to bring them to a playoff berth?
