Hugo Ekitike, 21, has had a torrid time of things at Paris Saint-Germain and a move away from the Parc Des Princes now looks to be in the offing for the French forward.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are looking to bolster their ranks with another forward and a midfielder as cover for Cheick Doucoure, who is out for the season with an Achilles injury.
As a result, the French forward, who was linked with a move to Selhurst Park last summer, looks to be a name on the list of the decision-makers at Palace but another London side are showing interest.
Ekitike interest
According to a report from FootballTransfers, Palace are looking to strike a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for the 21-year-old ahead of the January transfer window, with the Hammers also keen.
David Moyes’ West Ham United were also linked with the Frenchman last summer but never made a move and it now looks like the Eagles are back in the hunt for the young striker.
In Ligue 1, the Frenchman has featured in just 9 minutes of first-team football under Luis Enrique this season so a move away from the French capital looks to be on the cards for the 21-year-old.
Ekitike netted three goals and four assists for the Parisian side last season but the move hasn’t worked out for the French forward and the Premier League seemingly beckons.
Franck Chalencon – Manager of Stade Reims B – once compared the PSG No.44 to the World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe, when speaking to TNT Sports.
Palace’s need for a striker
One of the big problems for Roy Hodgson this season has been his side’s struggles to put the ball in the back of the net. Palace have scored just 14 goals in the Premier League so far this term.
A striker who can finish the chances that are created by Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise has to be the biggest priority for Hodgson either in January or the summer.
The report doesn’t state how much the French side would want for the 21-year-old but due to his lack of game time in Paris, a move would surely be affordable for Palace.
