West Ham starting lineup for the game against Fulham on Sunday

Michail Antonio could be set to miss out on a return to the West Ham starting lineup for the game against Fulham on Sunday (10 December).

Hammers insider Claret and Hugh reported on Thursday (7 December) that the Jamaican international could be ready to play against the Cottagers after recovering from his knee injury.

David Moyes is unlikely to throw the 33-year-old straight back into the mix, though, particularly after the Irons’ 2-1 victory over London rivals Tottenham on Thursday.

The Scotsman is known for liking consistency, especially after his side have picked up a positive result, so he is expected to make no changes to the lineup that beat Spurs despite the quick turnaround.

That means Lukasz Fabianski will retain his place in the West Ham goal after he came in for the injured Alphonse Areola and put in a superb performance against the North Londoners.

After his excellent display providing width down the right on Thurday, Vladimir Coufal is a certainty to keep his place in the starting lineup at Craven Cottage.

He will be joined in the backline by captain Kurt Zouma and fellow centre-back Nayef Aguerd, while Emerson, who was another player to put in a top drawer performance against Spurs, will start at left-back.

Edson Alvarez picked up his customary yellow card on Thursday – his seventh booking in just 13 Premier League games – but he will partner match-winner James Ward-Prowse in a deep-lying midfield role on Sunday.

Tomas Soucek played a bit deeper against Spurs than he has done lately, but he will sit in front of his midfield teammates in a more advanced role against Fulham, where he will be looking to get on the end of crosses into the box.

Mohammed Kudus will start on the right-hand side of the attack, while Lucas Paqueta will play in a roaming role off the left, provided he is fit after picking up a knock in the first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With Antonio set to wait for his return to the starting lineup, that means Jarrod Bowen will once again be tasked with leading the line for the Irons as he looks to keep up his incredible scoring record away from home this season.
