SAD NEWS: Michigan Wolverines Has loosed Their Very……

, Michigan, is negotiating a contract extension worth more than $11 million per year, according to reports.

The Michigan Wolverines are reportedly negotiating a contract extension with head coach Jim Harbaugh after securing the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff.

The extension would pay Harbaugh more than $11 million per year, according to Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports, but sources say the deal is “not imminent and there is work to be done.”

Harbaugh, who is in his ninth season as Michigan’s head coach, has led the Wolverines to three consecutive Big Ten titles and CFP berths.

Harbaugh is widely regarded as one of the top college football head coaches, with an 87-25 record at Michigan, but there are extenuating circumstances that have led to speculation about whether he will leave the college ranks for the NFL.

Due to alleged violations during the COVID-19 dead period, Harbaugh was suspended for the first three games of the 2023 season.

Due to an illegal off-campus scouting and sign-stealing operation allegedly run by a former Michigan staffer, the Big Ten suspended him for the final three games of the regular season as well.

Connor Stalions resigned from Michigan last month amid an investigation into Stalions allegedly purchasing tickets to future Michigan opponents’ games and recording the sidelines in order to decode signals.

Later, Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger and Wetzel reported that a Michigan booster helped fund the alleged scheme, and that linebackers coach Chris Partridge attempted to destroy evidence related to it, prompting his dismissal.

Michigan has denied any knowledge of or involvement in the sign-stealing operation, and it initially challenged the Big Ten’s suspension before accepting it.

Harbaugh returned to the sidelines for the Big Ten Championship Game between Michigan and Iowa, which the Wolverines won 26-0 to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff.

There are no guarantees about Harbaugh’s coaching future, but according to Wetzel’s report, he appears to be interested in staying at Michigan.
