He is finally Coming to Fulham His Dream Club

Fluminense star Andre Trindade could be about to achieve his Premier League ‘dream’ with Fulham reportedly agreeing a deal in principle for the Brazil international.

According to talkSPORT, one of this year’s more long-running transfer sagas is about to come to an end, the finish line in sight and Marco Silva’s foot glued down onto the accelerator.

Fulham, the report says, have ‘agreed a deal in principle’ with Andre Trindade expected to join The Cottagers for a fee in excess of £20 million during the January transfer window. And while Andre did not confirm of deny those claims on Monday, he did admit that England is his ‘dream’ destination.

Fulham to sign Brazil international Andre Trindade

“I watch the Premier League and it’s a big dream to play there one day,” Andre tells Premier League Brasil after Fluminense beat Al-Ahly of Egypt 2-0 in the Club World Cup.

“I’m focused on finishing the season at Fluminense and realising my dream of winning the Club World Cup. But my dream is clear, to be a Premier League player.”

Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt admitted a few months ago that Liverpool were interested, only for Andre – a la Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia – to turn down a move to Anfield. He wanted to stick around at the time and help Fluminense complete their pursuit of the Copa Libertadores.

Now, with a Libertadores winners’ medal in his pocket, Andre appears to have completed that particular chapter of his career, with a new adventure now awaiting on the other side of the Atlantic.

Liverpool were interested

“We are going to work hard on exits. There won’t be many. I believe the departures will happen quickly,” Paulo Angioni, Fluminense’s sporting director, tells the Charla Podcast, captain and defender Nino also expected to seal a move to Nottingham Forest.

“Nino and Andra are players who are about to leave.”

Andre, who has also been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and West Ham, could potentially replace Joao Palhinha. The Portuguese powerhouse could yet complete a belated switch to Bayern Munich.

Fulham are reportedly keen on Feyenoord’s Quinten Timber and Serie A enforcer Adrien Tameze too.
