The 777 Partners not a stable option for the Toffees

The Esk claims that there is little likelihood that 777 Partners’ purchase of the Everton football club would be finalized before or after Christmas.

The financial expert from Everton, who has been featured in the Daily Mail, stated on Wednesday, December 20, via their Twitter account that they don’t think the Miami-based investment business would be able to purchase the Toffees before the holidays or even after.

This comes after it was reported that Redstrike, a leading British sports agency, had severed its partnership with 777 Partners, alleging a breakdown in business relations. This further cast doubt on the American firm’s intended acquisition [Daily Mail, 20 December].

In response to a query on Twitter on December 20 about whether the takeover would be authorized before Christmas, they wrote, “No, not at all, before or after Christmas.”

Long road ahead

The Esk seldom makes a mistake when talking about Everton and their financial situation, so if they are right when they say that 777 won’t be able to finish their acquisition of Goodison Park, the Toffees may have a difficult road ahead of them.

The American company has been portrayed negatively by almost everything that has surfaced since they reached an agreement to purchase Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1% ownership of the Toffees. It appears that this will eventually lead to the Premier League rejecting their takeover.

Although it is understandable that fans would want to see Moshiri leave Goodison Park after his disastrous stint, 777 doesn’t seem like a much more reliable choice for the Toffees given his past performance.

Supporters will be concerned that if this agreement collapses, administration for the Toffees may become a very serious prospect. Everton will have to hold out hope that a different new owner can intervene and keep them out of this kind of trouble.

However, nothing has been proven as of yet, and the Premier League is currently carrying out its own investigation. Based on the way this agreement has worked out so far, there may be many more twists and turns to come.
