John Wenham believes out-of-favour Tottenham trio Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier and Giovani Lo Celso could all be moved on during the January transfer window.
Lloris is yet to feature this season after spending nearly a decade as the number one in north London, with the 36-year-old’s future now clearly lying elsewhere.
Meanwhile, both Dier and Lo Celso have featured sporadically and could look to secure moves in search of more regular first-team football.
Wenham believes that Spurs must look to generate some cash on the out-of-favour trio during the January transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “Looking ahead to January, we still haven’t seen any reports linking Lloris with a move away from the club.
“If he’s got any intention of kicking a ball this season, he needs to make progress with securing a move. I’m just surprised we still haven’t heard anything.
“In addition, I think if Tottenham can bring a central defender to the club early in the window, then I think they’ll push to move Dier out the door as well. After his performance against Wolves, it is clear his defending is not at the required level and the fact that we’ve not seen him since tells me that there is no future for him at the club.
“I think he’s another one that Spurs may therefore look to move on in January.
“Finally, Lo Celso will only have 18 months remaining on his contract, so this will perhaps be the final chance for Tottenham to cash in on the midfielder.”
