A Big Blow For Bolton Wanderers

This weekend against Leyton Orient, Josh Sheehan is back available, although Wanderers are hurt by Ricardo Santos’ absence.

Sheehan received his fifth booking of the season against Bristol Rovers, therefore he was forced to watch from the sidelines.

Santos, the captain, will miss one game after being sent off against the Gas for a professional foul.

Bolton CEO Ian Evatt stated, “We have had one or two minor illnesses creeping around, just some chesty coughs and one or two bits of flu, but it is to be expected at this time of year.” “Aside from Rico, I believe we should be fine.”

“As always, Rico is a big miss. He is unquestionably a huge asset to the team, but we also have other talented players.

“There are opportunities for others if something is absent due to an injury or suspension, and this was the case on Saturday.

“The team will be used and put to the test since we have four games in eight or nine days. We are excited for the holiday season and have a strong team.

After Santos was fired last weekend, Will Forrester was brought off the bench, and Aaron Morley was selected to start in midfield with George Thomason and Paris Maghoma.

The Whites had been undefeated in 11 games in all competitions until losing to Bristol Rovers and Portsmouth.

While acknowledging that there would always be difficulties during a season, Evatt maintains his faith in his team of players.

“There has been some positivity within those games, but we haven’t got the results we wanted,” he said. “We should have won that game at Oxford because of the excellent second half.

“I thought we were marginally better and had big opportunities that we missed in the first half at Portsmouth.” With ten men, I felt Bristol Rovers’ second half was fantastic.

In addition, there were three really subpar halves. On Saturday, we made every mistake imaginable in the first half!

“This is not a sprint, as I have stated previously. It is a marathon, and you must persevere. This is a required component of the course; you will encounter challenges that you must conquer.

“We have to respond appropriately when we lose games. I have a lot of faith in this bunch of players, and we are still in a great position. I have no doubt that we will recover.
