The Detroit Lions will capture the NFC North division for the first time since 1993 if they defeat the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. And it appears that quarterback Jared Goff is aware of the significance it would have for the Detroit community.
When questioned about the possibility of winning the division this week at a news conference, Jared Goff acknowledged the significance it would have for the city and its supporters.
Goff remarked, “I know how special it will be for the city.” “Yes, we are aware of how long the fans have been waiting and everything, but we really need to concentrate on this week as it is the only thing we have control over,” the spokesperson said.
Goff, though, also stated unequivocally that the squad isn’t letting the drought get to them.
QB Jared Goff stated at his news conference on Wednesday, “It’s really just that, is that a win gets us the division and we understand, we understand, we get it.” We don’t bear the burden of the last 30 years here, as I believe I’ve mentioned before. We are not the same squad as the one from the previous year, the year before, or the thirty years prior. We are the 2023 Lions.
We have an opportunity to leave our mark this week as we work to establish ourselves this year. However, the season has been lengthy; we’ve seen some success, and maybe we can finish.
It remains to be seen if the Lions can complete the task.
