On New Year’s Day, Nathan Fraser, a forward for Wolves, attended a League One match in anticipation of a potential January transfer. It was verified that the 18-year-old was there at Shrewsbury Town’s 3-1 victory over Fleetwood Town on Monday at the New Meadow.
Wolves granted him permission to attend the game, and it’s known that Micky Mellon, their director of football, has long had his eye on him. Fraser continued to be interested in Mellon after he was recruited to Shrewsbury, having trained with Mellon’s previous team, Cheltenham Town.
Fraser, who is well-liked by everyone at Molieux, might be given the chance to gain some important League One first-team experience. The Shrews had targeted him in the summer, but he was not allowed to leave; things could now be different.
