According to Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports’ most recent first-round mock draft, which anticipates a plethora of trades at the top, expect a run of elite quarterback choices early in the 2024 NFL Draft. Following up a brilliant Sugar Bowl performance against Texas, Michael Penix Jr. of Washington may also make it into the top 10 and push Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels for the top spot.
Along with the New York Giants, two teams anticipating to go with a signal caller early are the New England Patriots and the Washington Commanders. Of those teams, the Patriots are the only one without an established quarterback, although both Washington and New York’s long-term prospects are uncertain at this point.
Washington, Alabama, LSU, and Georgia are the college football teams vying for first-round dominance. There are several players in each who should be chosen on Day.1.
