Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been…..

He discussed the Forest head coach on The Hard Truth podcast.

During the Christmas break, the Reds defeated Manchester United and Newcastle to move five points clear of the relegation zone.

MacAnthony praises Espirito Santo, the Forest boss

Many commentators have praised Espirito Santo as a result of Forest’s victories over the Christmas season.

Some, Chris Sutton in particular, had suggested when he first joined the club that he might be the appropriate candidate.

However, Espirito Santo has ensured that at Forest, deeds speak louder than words and doesn’t really care what people think.

Currently, MacAnthony has publicly acknowledged that he may have been mistaken regarding the new Forest head coach as well.

“To be fair, after seeing what they did to Newcastle, I was wrong about Nuno,” he said on The Hard Truth Podcast.

“Although I always felt he was a little boring as a manager, they defeated United with relative ease after scoring three goals at Newcastle.

“Its owner was correct. Although I am aware that everyone loves Steve Cooper, it was clearly the right decision.

“Those two victories were crucial because without those points they would have finished in the bottom three. A change is sometimes as beneficial as a rest.”

Boss is aware of his challenging Forest task.

It’s not unusual for a new head coach to take over and have his squad start playing well right away.

Because of this, Espirito Santo will recognize that there is still work to be done and won’t be getting too carried away with his early success at Forest.

The open January transfer window will please the Reds. There may be a few departures since Forest will probably prefer Espirito Santo to operate with a smaller team.

In the end. Espirito Santo’s performance in football matches at Forest will be evaluated. So far, so good, and it’s encouraging to hear a reputable football figure like MacAnthony commend the head coach.
