The information Alan Nixon has received regarding Leeds United’s potential interest in Burnley star Scott Twine has been shared.
This month, the 24-year-old has been heavily linked to a transfer to Bristol City, one of Leeds’ fellow Championship teams [Alan Nixon].
When asked on social media if United was among Twine’s potential suitors, Nixon quickly dispelled the rumors.
On January 4, he wrote on his own Twitter account, “Not heard that one.”
Twine, who has four goals and three assists in 24 games during the first half of the 2023–24 season, is an impressive loanee at Hull City in the second division.
Given that he doesn’t appear to be in Vincent Kompany’s plans as long as Burnley is in the Premier League, there is undoubtedly a place for him in the Championship.
It makes sense that Bristol City is reportedly interested, but it’s unclear at this point just where he might fit in at Leeds United.
Twine is adaptable because he can play anywhere around the front line, but Daniel Farke has a wide range of alternatives for regular first team players and backups.
In the coming weeks, Farke will undoubtedly want to bolster his roster, but an attacking midfielder is unlikely to be at the top of his priority list. Thus, it comes as little surprise to learn that this specific rumor is false.
