Sam Webb: Thus, I don’t…I will refrain from asking you to discuss how much you believe Nick Saban and his team were outcoached. However, I would like to know whether you have observed… if you have observed a situation. where it was evident to you that Nick’s number had been somewhat obtained by the opposition. I’m making every effort to sugarcoat the situation. therefore I don’t want to put you in an awkward situation. However…
Vance Bedford: I think Alabama anticipated being a very plodding Big 10 football team. And I think their guys felt we were going to blow them out of the stadium because they are a Big 10 team. First of all, we’re bigger, faster, and stronger than them; they can’t run. And then they were struck in the mouth with a punch.
And for that reason, I also believe that there’s a chance—I might be mistaken—that Michigan wasn’t given enough credit by Alabama staff. They said this because, well, we’ve already played 10 teams, and they still can’t match us. We entered the match as the probable defensive end for the opening round. He did not come near our quarterback, in my opinion. Because he was constantly scanning the area to see who might obstruct me as we continued to go.
He was never able to once. Additionally, they attempted to change the front’s formation so that down players could never tee off on a ball. We kept them off balance with our assault, after all. Then, our defensive lineman took them to the woodshed with our current defense. I refer to them as the Beverly Hillbillies. We’re in Alabama, after all. We’re off to the woodshed, then. They are still crying even after we gave them a spankin; they are currently unable to sit down.
Furthermore, what do you know? Paul Fillibamb is your boy’s name. He praised Michigan. Is it really true? This morning, I had to pay attention to what he said. He acknowledged that Michigan had a superior coaching staff than them. I watched those guys from the sidelines, he continued.
They had excellent coaching. However, Stephen, your boy, mentioned Smith. He was unable to resist. He had to do his own spin because ESPN was paying him in full. He simply was unable to give my guys any credit. I’ll give it to my man Paul, though; he claims they were outcoached.
