Leicester City Coach give hint on transfer

Regarding a loan agreement for goalkeeper Daniel Iversen, Leicester City and fellow Championship team Stoke City are apparently in “advanced talks.”

After playing for the team in the Premier League the previous season, the Dane has slipped in the King Power Stadium hierarchy under manager Emile Maresca. Throughout the campaign, he has only been used as a substitute twice and has not played a single minute in any tournament.

Stoke City has been connected to the City player in the past, and this week’s claims from The Daily Mail stated that City was awaiting further interest from the Potters following their loan inquiry.

As new manager Steven Schumacher looks to make his mark on the team, TEAMtalk now reports that “advanced talks” are underway between the two teams about a possible loan arrangement. It follows the recall of loan goalkeeper Mark Travers by parent team Bournemouth in October.

The Stoke manager addressed the connections in his pre-game press conference shortly after the rumours surfaced, stating that the Potters are getting close to bringing in a goalkeeper: He declared, “We’re on with the goalkeeper.” “We’re on with the goalkeeper because we’ve known about it for a long time, since Mark Travers went back,” the statement reads. “I don’t want to name names because it wouldn’t be fair to do so.”

“It’s the obvious one, and it was made clear before I even arrived that we’d try to strengthen the goalkeeping department,” the speaker continued. We’re moving forward with that.

“Aside from that, we’ll need to exercise patience. I promised that before making decisions, we would give everyone a chance to show who we are and create an impression. However, since the last window closed, the recruitment process has been ongoing, and if we need to take action, targets have been set.

Iversen has dropped down the hierarchy as a result of Mads Hermansen’s summer arrival and the rise of Jakub Stolarczyk as a backup. Despite being a crucial component of a goalie under Maresca, distribution was one of the goalkeeper’s poor points during the previous campaign. Therefore, it appears that he might not be at King Power Stadium in the future.
