Following his transfer from Irish team Leixlip United in 2019, Omobamidele made his Norwich debut at the age of eighteen. He immediately distinguished himself as one of the best young players to have played at Carrow Road in recent memory, with players like Max Aarons, Emi Buendia, and James Maddison.
His transfer to the East Midlands was greatly anticipated, but he has struggled to earn playing time in the competitive Premier League, which might pave the way for a Championship comeback. However, Omobamidele has demonstrated his ability in championship play, and his backfield skills would at the very least provide elite competition that would motivate Edmundson and Woolfenden to step up their performances.
