Great News For Cleveland Browns

The Browns’ regular-season finale against the Bengals was unimportant to anyone. The health of Cleveland’s depth was the one factor that truly mattered. Every week, we usually go over the offensive and defensive snap counts and stats. We’re not giving a comprehensive breakdown this week due to the game’s lackluster nature. I will, however, nevertheless offer some fascinating observations about important players who did participate and whether or not this will have an effect on the playoff matchup with the Texans.

  • Pierre Strong was supposed to carry the weight as running back, but we anticipated that Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt would need to take some plays as well. Hunt played 13%, Strong played 51%, and Ford played 36% of the snaps. Strong departed the game in the second half due to a back ailment, which is why Ford’s number was higher.

Two guys from Cleveland made a full recovery: WR Elijah Moore and DE Ogbo Okorokwo. Okorokwo played 11 snaps (17%), Moore only 6 snaps (11%). These two indications were encouraging to ensure they are primed for the postseason.

  • The players that left the game with injuries raised the most concerns: DT Shelby Harris (24 snaps, 38%) exited with a shin injury, and WR Cedric Tillman (34 snaps, 64%) left with a neck injury/concussion exam. Although Harris has provided important depth up front, it seems that everything will be alright with him. Tillman is currently undergoing the concussion protocol; let’s see if he can pass that. Tillman is a starter receiver who plays 80–90% of the snaps despite his lackluster production. Wide receiver David Bell is expected to have significant postseason reps if he is unable to participate. Bell (52 snaps, 98%) is coming off a fourth-quarter performance against Cincinnati in which he grabbed two touchdown receptions.
  • The snap counts for the other starters who faced the Bengals are as follows: DT Jordan Elliott (44 snaps, 69%), RT James Hudson (41 snaps, 77%) and LT Geron Christian (21 snaps, 40%). RGWyatt Teller likely participated on two special teams snaps during the extra point tries.
Finally, snap counts for additional regular rotation players and important contributors are as follows: TES D’Anthony Bell (63 snaps, 98%), S Ronnie Hickman (30 snaps, 47%), DE Alex Wright (47 snaps, 73%) and Harrison Bryant (35 snaps, 66%)
  • The biggest players who Cleveland hopes to have back against the Houston Texans? WR Amari Cooper, who set a franchise record with 265 receiving yards against the Texans two weeks ago, and K Dustin Hopkins, who suffered an injury during that game and has been idle since.

When Cleveland plays the Houston Texans, which players is it most interested in getting back? WR Amari Cooper, who set a team record with 265 receiving yards against the Texans two weeks ago, and K Dustin Hopkins, who sustained an injury during that
