Sad News:Everton youngster out on hurrible injury

Stanley Mills, a winger for Everton, may have had a catastrophic injury while on loan at Oxford United.

In order to obtain regular senior experience, the 20-year-old joined the League One team at the beginning of the season. Mills has made 27 appearances for Oxford during their playoff run, contributing seven assists and one goal.

The son of former England player Danny Mills, there are concerns that Mills might miss the rest of the season due to injury. He was helped off the field during Oxford’s 6-2 FA Cup loss to Coventry City last weekend after tripping during a late first-half shooting attempt. After receiving care for a few minutes on the field, Mills was transported to the hospital.

Manager Des Buckingham of the U remarked in an interview with the Oxford Mail: “It’s terrible to see any player carried off on a stretcher, clutching his knee.”All we can do is surround him with the care of the medical team; I’m not a medical specialist, and I doubt even the people who took him off will know exactly what it might be.

He’s receiving the best care possible thanks to Coventry’s medical team, who have been really helpful. They’ve transported him to the hospital, where he’s with his parents and some of our staff. We’ll provide more details on him as soon as we have them.

Mills is anticipated to resume his recuperation at Everton’s Finch Farm training facility. Two of the England youth international’s senior Toffees appearances have come in the Carabao Cup.
