GREEN BAY, Wisconsin: The Green Bay Packers will have the usual receiver injury concerns heading into their wild-card playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, two of their seasoned receivers, missed the most of the team’s triumph over Chicago. Watson missed his seventh straight game due to a hamstring ailment, and Doubs was only able to play 11 snaps due to a chest injury he sustained after he went hard to the ground while attempting to catch a pass in the end zone.
Blood was flying from Doubs’s mouth on the sidelines. He initially believed it to be a bleeding lip, so in order to keep warm, he pedaled a stationary bike on the sidelines. During the commercial break, Doubs joined his teammates in the huddle when the Packers regained possession of the ball with 14:02 remaining in the second quarter. However, he later returned to the bike on the sideline.
After that, he went to the hospital and the locker room, but he left the hospital and returned to the locker room following the game. Coach Matt LaFleur stated, “It seems like he’s doing better, so, but he’ll be day to day, I would say.” Watson appeared to be very certain that he would play against Chicago on Wednesday of last week. At the time, he declared, “My passion is playing football, so it looks like I’m going to be able to play some this Sunday.”
