On Tuesday, the Arizona Cardinals announced the signing of offensive lineman Austen Pleasants, safety Verone McKinley III, cornerback Darren Hall, and wide out Daniel Arias to future contracts.
In 2023, Arias, McKinley, and Pleasants were all members of Arizona’s practice squad.
After signing a contract as an undrafted rookie in May, Arias did in fact make the Cardinals’ first 53-man roster. However, he was cut the next day and signed with Arizona’s practice squad.
While Pleasants was added to the practice squad in the middle of the season on November 8, McKinley joined on January 3.
In the meanwhile, Hall appeared in 31 games with the Atlanta Falcons from 2021–22 before spending the previous season on the practice squad of the Indianapolis Colts. The 2021 fourth-round selection had 69 tackles with the Falcons, including one sack, six passes defensed, a forced fumble, recovery, and three for loss.
The announcement of the signings follows the Cardinals’ Monday signing of eight players, including wide receiver Andre Baccellia and tight end Bernhard Seikovits, to future contracts.
