The Brisbane Broncos are gearing up to give back this holiday season, with a special member giveaway kicking off the club’s ‘Season of Giving.’In the run-up to Christmas, players are set to lend their support to a number of Brisbane-based charities.
Over the next two weeks, they’ll make their annual visit to Ronald McDonald House to deliver gifts to children and their families, attend the Starlight Foundation Christmas Party, and pack hampers for Communify families in need in Bardon.
After players Reece Walsh, Ezra Mam, Deine Mariner, Brendan Piakura, and new recruit Fletcher Baker participated in a pre-recorded Christmas Pass-The-Ball, one lucky member won a brand new Kia Sportage
Five members were chosen to participate, and each was assigned a player participant to represent them in the game.
Deine Mariner had hot hands, winning the Grand Prize for ‘his member’, L.Kann, with a planned delivery in time for Christmas.
Reece Walsh and Ezra Mam’s participant members (J. McLachlan, J.Flower) won two Inner Sanctum passes, giving them an exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ experience on gameday, while Brendan Piakura and Fletcher Baker each won a $200 Team Store voucher for two lucky members (S.Dickinson, P.Obstoy).
“One of the things I love most about being back in Brissy is all our Broncos fans, they’re unbelievable, and this was a fun one to be a part of,” Reece Walsh said.
“Giving back and being grateful for our families and those closest to us, including the larger Broncos family, is what Christmas is all about.”
