Nikolas Dyrh, a Danish defender, was acquired by St. Louis City SC on Monday.
With a 2027 option, the 22-year-old left back’s contract is valid until the 2026 MLS season.
Dyhr joins from Midtjylland of the Danish Superliga, where he played 103 games and contributed three goals and eight assists.
“We are thrilled to have Nikolas join our backfield,” stated Lutz Pfannenstiel, the sporting director for St. Louis. “At the tender age of 22, he has already won championships in Denmark for both junior and senior teams, and he has accumulated invaluable experience in Europa and Champions League events.
“His ability to man the left side of the field in the defensive third and final third will be key in our style of play.”
The 2024 MLS will begin in St. Louis City.
