Unfortunately, it appears that Forest will not be able to sign Vata from Celtic.
Football Italia reports that the player is now in negotiations to go from Parkhead to Forest this month.
The teenage striker has drawn attention from a number of teams, with Forest previously being connected to Vata.
This season, the 18-year-old, who plays for the Celtic B-Team in the Lowland League, is blazing.
Vata has made 21 appearances, scoring 13 goals. He has also chosen to play for the under-21 Republic of Ireland team.
