Leeds united disqualified key player for…

Prior to the end of the transfer window, Leeds United is searching for at least one new full-back.

West Ham United’s Ben Johnson is the most recent player to be linked to Leeds among other possible targets. Neco Williams of Nottingham Forest is another player they enjoy.

But since Spence’s loan period ended abruptly, Connor Roberts of Burnley has been mentioned a lot because of his lack of playing time in recent months.

In an interview with the Burnley Express on Thursday, Vincent Kompany stated that they would not consider Roberts’ future until after tonight’s crucial relegation match against Luton Town.

Tonight, Kompany will discuss Robert’s future.
“It’s the last thing, in the spirit of the importance of the game,” he remarked. We have a nine-day break before our next game on January 31, so we should have plenty of time to have all these conversations, at least in-house.

“Luton has been my only worry this week; everything else will be taken care of after that game.”

Many teams, including Leeds, have had a quiet start to the January window, so it seems like most of the action will happen in the last week or two.

With five of their nine acquisitions coming in the last two weeks, Leeds is apparently willing to wait patiently, just like they did in the summer, for their first choice targets to become available this month.

Roberts is reportedly amenable to relocating to Elland Road this month, with the allure of reuniting with fellow Welsh internationals Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, and Dan James.

Burnley is also open to offers for the player they paid £2.5 million to sign with Swansea City in 2021; it is unclear, though, if Leeds wants him on loan or long-term.
