Breaking News: He is ready to play for burnley

After being summoned up from a second stint in Germany with Union Berlin, the 21-year-old is expected to complete a loan transfer from Chelsea until the conclusion of the current campaign.

The striker wasn’t just waiting for official confirmation; he was present at Turf Moor Friday night to see Burnley’s 1-1 draw with Luton Town.

After Friday night’s game, which ended in frustration due to a contentious late equalizer from Luton, Kompany acknowledged there was a chance for improvement.

“I knew we could park it and then pick it all up tonight because most of it happened as we were getting ready for the game,” he said.

“After the game, I certainly didn’t think I would be in this mood, but I will see the benefits of that very soon.”

In his 17 games on loan with Union Berlin, Fofana scored twice, one of which came against Napoli in the Champions League.

The Ivory Coast international first gained recognition in Norway while he was a player for Molde, where he scored 24 goals and provided 10 assists in 65 games.

This time last year, the frontman’s form earned him a £11 million transfer to Chelsea.

Kompany responded, “I’d love to be able to only present players with proven numbers, but it’s not the market we’re in at all,” in response to a question on Fofana’s goal drought in the Bundesliga.
