Chicago bears Trades No.1 pick for…

Writing for our weekly mock drafts is like diving into the Multiverse (MCU) of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Characters in the MCU’s Multiverse may have similar appearances, although they may have minor differences between mirror universes. In other words, Spider-Man is a nice guy in one universe and a bad guy in another.

Every fresh mock draft is similar to the one from the prior week. However, there are a few minor changes: comparable players are moved and transferred to different teams, resulting in different iterations inside the “NFL Universe.”

What would happen if the Bears made two trade downs? The Broncos could go up ten spots, how about that? Enjoy the new “alternate” mock draft for this week—the possibilities seem limitless.

NOTE: We used the expected draft order from tankathon.com for the draft order.

1. Caleb Williams of USC, quarterback for the Chicago Bears (via Carolina) (via Chicago)

Ryan Poles, the general manager of the Chicago Bears, might skip on a different highly regarded quarterback in order to trade down and obtain additional draft capital and promising prospects.

The Patriots might receive a large haul if the Bears trade the first overall pick to them. Then, Chicago would obtain the third pick from New England in the first round, the third pick from 68, the fourth pick from 139, and the first and second round selections from 2025.

With their current salary space of over 68 million, New England may believe they can sign enough free agents to offset the loss of draft picks. Plus, making the playoffs could appear doable with a rookie quarterback being supported by an accomplished squad.

2. Washington Commanders: North Carolina native Drake Maye, quarterback

Pursuing a gifted signal caller with franchise potential could be the change in strategy that the new ownership in Washington decides to implement. With a career accuracy of 64.9 percent, the necessary NFL size of 6’4″ and 230 pounds, and a touchdown/interception ratio of 63 to 16, Maye ticks off a lot of boxes.

Atlanta Falcons (via Chicago) (via New England): Jayden Daniels, LSU, is the quarterback

It may be argued that a lot of analysts thought the Falcons’ quarterback play was inept and inconsistent in the previous season. Atlanta might take advantage of Daniels’ exceptional athleticism and dynamic signal caller skills to move up in the draft and potentially choose him.

Atlanta may offer Chicago their eighth overall pick (first), 74th (3rd), and 145th (5th) in order to select Daniels. The Falcons add their first and third round picks from 2025 to complete this possible transaction. In a wide-open NFC South division, pairing Daniels with Atlanta’s dynamic skill players—Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London—could make them instantly dangerous.
