Sheffield United have completed the signing of midfielder Alanta Brown from FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division club Burnley.

The Blades announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Brown moves to Bramall Lane after working with Sheffield United boss Jonathan Morgan at former club Burnley last season. The midfielder made eight appearances for The Clarettes in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division in 2023/2024. Brown was also on the books at Leicester City during Morgan’s time in charge of the East Midlands club.

After being reunited with Morgan at Sheffield United, Brown said “I’m really happy, over the moon. I can’t wait to get started and I think this is a really good step in my career. I’ve met most of the girls before, they made me feel really welcome which is a good start and I can’t wait to get started with them.
