Sad news; Cowboys star is leaving team to

The Dallas Cowboys have a conundrum in their running back room. Their star running back Tony Pollard seems to be disinterested in renewing his contract with the team after another solid season as the primary rushing weapon.

However, this problem offers another opportunity: Derrick Henry is open to moving to a contender in the hopes of winning his first Super Bowl.

What are the Dallas Cowboys’ chances of getting Henry?

According to Adam Schultz’s piece for Cowboys Country, the Tennessee Titans RB is increasingly becoming a possible acquisition once free agency opens.

The 30-year-old Alabama standout was a force to be reckoned with despite a lacking offensive line in Nashville. He finished the season with 1167 rushing yards on 280 attempts for 12 TDs, averaging 4.2 yards a carry.

With the Titans failing to tie Henry down to another long-term deal, Dallas will be one of Vegas’ biggest favorites to bag the unstoppable running back. His dominant running style will be a perfect replacement for Pollard should he decide to walk.

However, the Dallas Cowboys may need to do a lot of convincing if they want King Henry to set foot in Arlington as theirs. Their offensive line needs a serious rework, only allowing Pollard and the rest of the RB room to run for 1920 yards and 14 touchdowns, only a tad better than what Henry’s Titans did last season.

They need to sign or draft impact players on the O-line if they want to attract a dominant rusher like Henry to the team.
