Lakers Injury Report: 4 Rotation Players May Miss Celtics Clash

Your Los Angeles Lakers lost their first two games of the series back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday, setting up an ugly start to their six-game Grammy road trip.

Regretfully, tonight might see even worse things. LA is scheduled to play its 12-time NBA Finals opponent, the Boston Celtics, at TD Garden at 4:30 p.m. PT on TNT in a preseason that may not be nearly as tasty as schedule-makers had anticipated.

The ninth-seeded Lakers (24–25) in the Western Conference may play the top-seeded team in the East without their two best players.

Los Angeles All-Stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are now regarded as questionable, according to the NBA’s most recent injury report. Given his questionable health, Davis’ bilateral Achilles tendinopathy and left hip spasm appear to be persistent, as he missed last night’s 138-122 blowout defeat to the Atlanta Hawks. With the exception of defense, James has been playing well despite a left ankle peroneal tendinopathy recently. If either player is out, LA’s prospects of defeating one of the top teams in the league are virtually eliminated. This national game would be comically skippable if you missed both.

Both small forward Cam Reddish (right ankle sprain) and point guard Gabe Vincent (left knee effusion surgery) are still out.
