Cardiff City made a super addition

The 28-year-old midfielder chose to join Derby on loan in order to get regular playing time after playing a little role in Erol Bulut’s Cardiff City team for the first half of the season.

On Saturday, Paul Warne made Adams’ Derby debut in the League One match against Charlton Athletic, when he contributed to the team’s 1-0 victory away from home.

Barker said that Adams’ caliber of midfielder has been lacking for Derby for a while in order to win second balls and challenges in midfield.

Additionally, the former Derby standout mentioned how Adams’ placement in midfield will enable Max Bird and Conor Hourihane to perform their technical strengths.

Rams TV was informed by Barker, “I think the impact he made in his opening game goes to show what we have been lacking and what we have been missing this season.”

We required a disruptive midfield player who challenges, wins second balls, and moves over the pitch.

He was fortunate to only receive a booking during one of the challenges [against Charlton], but he was aggressive and full-tilt during the first forty-five minutes, and that, in my opinion, just gives players like Max Bird—who was excellent once more—and Conor [Hourihane] more time to settle in and execute some of their technical moves.

“A player like that has been missed by us.

“Hopefully he is the player who will go straight into midfield and make the difference that I saw he made this afternoon. We have been crying out for one.”

Derby will hope that the 28-year-old midfielder will be able to aid their attempt to get back in the Championship this season.
