Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will represent the Boston Celtics in the NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 18 in Indianapolis, Indiana. It’s the second straight year the potent wing tandem will do so.
For Tatum, who will start in the Association’s marquee exhibition event for the fourth consecutive time, this is his fifth selection. Brown is now a three-time All-Star.
But according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the latter is “seriously participating in the Slam Dunk Contest the day before.
If he does, it’ll be the first time since 2017 that an All-Star competed in the event.
Brown and Tatum participated in the 2021 3-Point Contest, but Stephen Curry took home the hardware, becoming just the seventh player in NBA history to win the event multiple times.
