Oklahoma Drops out of Men’s Basketball AP Poll

Oklahoma dropped out of the AP Top 25 this week after going winless in Big 12 play. The Sooners, who were previously rated No. 23, defeated Kansas State by 20 points to start the week before losing to UCF by 11 on Saturday. For the first time since the 2021 campaign, OU secured a berth in the Top 25, as Porter Moser’s team made its debut at No. 25 in late November.

The Sooners finished in the Top 25 for the next nine weeks, peaking at No. 7 in the AP Poll. But Oklahoma is now 4-5 in Big 12 play this season after defeats to Texas, Texas Tech, and UCF in the last two weeks. The Sooners garnered 17 votes in this week’s national poll, which had them at 16-6. On Tuesday, OU will travel to Norman to play the No. 21 BYU Cougars.
